Training We Provide
To become an instructor you will have to pass three qualifying exams. Part 1 is a theory test, Part 2 is a driving test and part 3 is a test of your instructional ability.
Training is carried out on a structured one-to-one basis at a pace that suits you. We provide the
tuition vehicle, study material and of course the expertise you'll be needing to succeeed!
We take you through all three exams by providing the following structured training
Part One Theory Training Training
We are confident that our Part One training is the most comprehensive on the market;
not only do we provide all the books & study material you will need but you will also
receive 8 HOURS OF ONE-to-ONE PRACTICAL IN CAR 'THEORY' TRAINING. This is
because our ethos is that you need to put into practice the theory as early as possible to
get the maximum benefit.
Part Two Driving Test Training
Once we have shown you the techniques and standards the DSA will expect we can also, if you so wish,
train in the location of where your Part Two test is booked.
All the books/study material + 10 hours of in car practical training are included.
PLEASE NOTE: After you pass Parts 1 & 2 you are eligible to start teaching as a trainee driving
instructor if you wish. IN2GEAR encourages you do do this, afterall this is what you are training
for – to work as a driving instructor!
Part Three Teaching Ability Test Training
Arguably this is the most taxing of the exams and it is of vital importance that the training you receive is structured
and focuses on the 'core competancies' which the DSA is looking for namely 'Fault Identification', 'Fault Correction' and 'Fault Analysis'.
All the books/study material + 40 hours of in car practical training. Our training is structured
around not only passing the final exam but also practical advice like how to conduct mock tests and
what to expect when taking your pupil to a test etc, these things are very important but are often overlooked by other establishments!
Part 3 Rescue / 'Top Up' Training
We also provide “Part 3 Rescue Training” to those who have had training with another company but have failed an exam or feel let down.
Our success rate in getting people through who originally trained with other companies is outstanding (see Testimonials)
Check Test Training
The Check Test or using its proper name - The Test Of Continued Teaching Ability - is a test that all ADIs periodically have to attend. Whether its your first check test and you need guidance or have failed a recent Check Test or want to improve your grading we offer quality, one-to-one bespoke training. We can also sit in on one of your lessons and provide a written report based on the ADI 26CT.
